Partners and Senior Staff
Kevin D Willsey, B. Comm., C.A.Partner Kevin is a graduate of the University of Alberta and qualified for the Chartered Accountant designation with Ernst & Young, Edmonton in June 1995. Kevin's focus is on owner-managed business and incorporates all areas of accounting, taxation, cash flow and business plans, profitability and finances.
Trevor E. Davis, B. Comm., C.A. Partner Trevor is a graduate of the University of Alberta and received the Chartered Accountant designation in January 1994. Trevor began his accounting career in Grande Prairie working with two other local accounting firms before purchasing his father's existing practice in September 2000. After a few years as a sole practitioner, he merged with Kevin Willsey in September 2004 and became one of the founding partners of Willsey Davis and Co. LLP. Trevor brings many years of experience working with owner-managed businesses, estates returns, farming businesses and audits of not-for-profit organizations.
Karen Munjak, B. Comm., C.A.Partner Karen was born and raised in Manning, Alberta. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1992 and qualified for the Chartered Accountant designation with Price Waterhouse in Edmonton in 1995. Shortly after that, Karen moved to Auckland, New Zealand, where she spent the next two years working for Price Waterhouse, and traveling around New Zealand, Australia and southeast Asia. After returning to Canada in 1997, Karen worked in industry in both Edmonton and Calgary. In 2004, Karen decided to return to public practice. She and her family relocated to Grande Prairie, where she joined the staff at Willsey Davis & Co. LLP.
Cheryl Deverdenne, B.Comm., C.A.Cheryl graduated from the University of Calgary in the spring of 1999 and pursued her articling career in a mid-size Canadian firm in Calgary. Cheryl joined our team as an articling student in October 2001 and received her Chartered Accountant designation in January 2003. She commits herself to change and continuous learning in order to assist our firm in meeting client needs. Cheryl's experience has focused on corporate accounting and taxation services.
Michelle McMurdo, B. Comm., MBAMichelle graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Masters in Business Administration. She worked with a Chartered Accountant in the Peace Country for eleven years before joining the Grande Prairie office of Willsey Davis in November 2002. Michelle's experience in accounting includes financial reporting, taxation, farm programs, GST, payroll and data processing.
Janice McNeice
Sheilah Swanberg, CGASheilah has been working in public practice for the past 10 years and joined Willsey Davis in October 1999, as a Manager of Accounting Services. Prior to that she worked with another local CA firm and a CGA firm out of Fort St John, BC. Sheilah received the designation of Certified General Accountant in October 1999. Sheilah can provide assistance and advice in accounting, auditing, tax planning, tax preparation and counsel small businesses and individuals in the areas of incorporation process, payroll and computer software implementation. Her focus at Willsey Davis is to ensure that each client is provided with services in a timely and professional manner which does not merely respond to problems or opportunities but anticipates them. It is this proactive attitude that her clients find most valuable. The needs and concerns of her clients always receive priority treatment as she believes that the distinctive approach she takes to serving them is as important as the breadth of services and depth of knowledge she offers.
